Tools and private-view steps
You use refereekit by chatting with your agent, and you never type a refereekit command. This page lists what you can ask for, where each step happens, and the tools the agent’s model calls.
What to ask for
Section titled “What to ask for”Ask in plain words. The agent calls the tool, and anything that shows the paper’s words or takes yours opens in your private view.
| Ask the agent to | What happens |
|---|---|
| start a review of a PDF, for a venue | a session starts; the agent learns its reference and page count |
| open the review | your questions, your verdict and both drafts, in the private view |
| draft the report, or the letter | the private view asks for section lengths, or your answers for the editor |
| check the report | the draft is checked against the paper, with no model; the agent learns the counts |
| show what needs attention | the triage list, in the private view |
| open model access | your deployment, key and attestation, in the private view |
| compare the session with a revised PDF | each claim in the pool gets an outcome |
| fetch the submission from OpenReview | the form and the replies are stored in the session |
| finish | the last checks before you submit; nothing is submitted or approved |
| show the status | where each session stands, as counts |
| delete the session | you see what it destroys, and say yes on your own screen |
| set refereekit up again, or remove it | the same, for the reviews folder |
pi’s commands
Section titled “pi’s commands”In pi you can open each view yourself:
| Command | Opens |
|---|---|
/refx-review |
the questions, your verdict and both drafts |
/refx-drafts |
a draft, to edit and check; “Check a file”; the OpenReview form |
/refx-flags |
the triage list; e shows an equation’s evidence |
/refx-note |
write or read venue notes |
/refx-model |
model access and the OpenReview account |
/refx-tutorial |
the practice review |
Each takes a session reference, or asks you to choose. /refx-model
belongs to the reviews folder and takes none. The commands need pi’s
interactive mode (see No screen, no
review).
Where each step happens
Section titled “Where each step happens”In pi, each step opens in pi’s own dialogs. In the other agents it opens in the review window, in the part named here.
| Step | In the review window |
|---|---|
| Ask questions and read the checked answers | the question form |
| Record your verdict | “Your verdict” |
| Draft the report or the letter | “Draft the report”, “Draft the letter” |
| Edit and check a draft | “Open it in your editor”, “Check it against the paper” |
| Check a co-referee’s report | “Check a file” |
| Draft an OpenReview form | “OpenReview form” |
| Read the triage list | “What needs attention” |
| Write or read venue notes | “Venue notes” |
| Read the finishing checks | “Finishing checks” |
| Set model access or the OpenReview login | the reviews folder’s page |
| Say yes to deleting a session | the client’s own form, or the window’s delete button |
A stored key or password shows as “set”, never as its value.
The tools
Section titled “The tools”The agent’s model calls eight tools. None takes your words, a key or a password as an argument. A call that tries is refused, and the refusal does not repeat what it was given.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
refx_start |
starts a session on a PDF you named, or resumes one |
refx_status |
where one session stands, or every session |
refx_check |
checks the report or the letter, with no model |
refx_finish |
the last checks before you submit |
refx_draft |
opens the private view at the report or the letter |
refx_open |
opens one of your private views |
refx_close |
deletes a session, only on your yes |
refx_setup |
removes refereekit from the folder or installs it again, only on your yes |
Each result is counts and codes. In the review window, the agent learns only whether the window opened.
